The Rundown: Tony Stark faces the Fixer to rescue a group of captured scientists.

The Fixer has killed Adam Ware and Tony is unable to retrieve the rest of his armor. Fixer has him and the rest of the missing scientists on the ropes as the AIM helicarrier is going down and Tony must make a quick decision to save himself and the others.

Using the memories of his past, Tony manages to lure Fixer into a trap before releasing the other scientists. Unfortunately, his armor comes back online as he attempts to retrieve Ware’s body and rescue Masque and he returns. What he doesn’t know is that Masque survives and there is a new leader of AIM planning to bring all the factions together under his rule.

The Story: Williamson creates great action and drama throughout the issue. I like the buildup of suspense throughout the issue and how Stark has to reveal the truth to both Fixer and himself in order to survive. I really like the quick progression of moments in the story as it leads to the finale. Unfortunately, it’s a finale that I saw coming from the beginning of the arc and wasn’t as satisfying as I hoped it would be.

The Art: Carnero and Bazaldua create beautifully detailed and visually exciting art throughout the issue. I really love the vibrant and stunning action in this story.
