The Rundown: Gabby lands in the future and learns she may be responsible for an apocalypse.

In an underground bunker, Gabby is interrogated by the future version of Trish’s father and told that she is responsible for discovering a device that turned the world into a hell scape filled with ghosts and monsters. Not knowing what they are talking about, Gabby finds herself getting an unexpected rescue from the future version of Trish.

After sending Gabby home with a warning, Trish tries to take them both out of the area, but the Horned Man won’t let them leave. When their friends arrive and discover the truth, the four of them find something beneath the house that could change everything.

As her father finds information that could lead him to more power, Trish sends Gabby back to the present and the woman she loves.

The Story: Starks takes the story to some unexpected and intense places in this issue. I was concerned that the time travel element would take away from the grounded, haunted house world of the series, but it works in an interesting way. The plot continues to take some bold and welcome twists and turns throughout and I continue to be immersed in the journey.

The Art: Topilin delivers some fantastic art throughout the issue. The visuals are fun, intense and fully embrace the dark nature of the story and its environments.
