Hunt for Wolverine Dead Ends #1

Marvel Comics

Written by Charles Soule

Art by Ramon Rosanas

Colors by Guru-eFX

Letters by Joe Sabino

Tony Stark is making his way through the city to Central Park as Daredevil takes to the skies in the same direction. They both make their way to the Xavier Institute and are greeted by Kitty Pryde who has decided to bring them all together in order to finally put all the pieces together concerning the resurrection of Logan.

After discovering Betsy Braddock back to her old self, the three of them start putting the pieces together and they discover a single link between the investigations of each of their teams. As they continue to go through the evidence, Daredevil hears something. Projectiles are headed to towards the mansion and any one of them can wipe out the city. While the heroes scramble to stop the disaster, we finally get a chance to see the person pulling the strings behind Logan’s resurrection and she is willing to go to some intense lengths to keep both her secrets and her prize.

Like a great detective story, this issue brings together all of the competing storylines from the Hunt for Wolverine series and not only gives them all context in a bigger story, but introduces a new threat that seems really formidable. I was really impressed with this issue and Soule writes some great dialogue for these characters, especially in the moments between Tony and Daredevil. There is the sense of a really interesting story taking shape behind Logan’s return and this new character is fascinating in both her intellect and depravity.

Rosanas does great work with the art in this issue and all of the action beats looks great. I would have liked to have seen a little more detailed expressions on the character’s faces, but the action scenes and composition were great.
