The Kingdom Hearts series of games continues to hold a special place in the hearts of fans for its mixture of Final Fantasy-style gameplay and Disney character integration.
In the upcoming Kingdom Hearts III, that tradition continues with a new adventure featuring Sora, Donald and Goofy as they travel to worlds inspired by Disney films including Frozen, Big Hero 6, Pirates of the Caribbean and others. In order to immerse the player in those worlds with those iconic and familiar characters, many of the stars who voice them have returned to voice those characters in the game.
Josh Gad (Olaf), Kristen Bell (Anna), Idina Menzel (Elsa) and Jonathan Groff (Kristoff) will return to voice their characters from the 2013 film Frozen. Zachary Levi (Flnn Rider) and Donna Murphy (Mother Gothel) return to the recording booth to reprise their roles from 2010’s Tangled. John Ratzenberger (Hamm) and Wallace Shawn (Rex) will be featured in a world based on the Pixar Toy Story films. Tate Donavan will return to voice the role of Hercules and Kevin R. McNally will reprise the role of Gibbs from the Pirates of the Caribbean films.
Kingdom Hearts III will be released for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on Jan. 29, 2019.
