So I just got back from Dragon Con 2026. It is my local Con and one of my favorites and while enjoying my time there and the many and varied experiences that I had, I have been thinking about what I want to do next.

I have been covering entertainment, comics and pop culture for the last ten years and it has given me some great opportunities that I am forever grateful for. The one experience that I haven’t had in that space and the one that has been on my bucket list since I started Super Powered Fancast all those years ago has been to attend San Diego Comic Con. I have applied for and been approved for press badges before, but the financial difficulties of traveling from the south to San Diego California has been an impediment especially given the cost of travel and lodging.

So I decided to reach out to the audience of this site and the podcast to ask you all for help. My goal is to afford to fly myself and possibly my oldest son to assist me as we cover the biggest entertainment event in the geek world as well as show him the possibilities of what he could achieve as he steps into the world of entertainment. For that I will definitely need help. I have setup a GoFundMe that will cover my expenses to the event both in travel and lodging as well as equipment that will allow me to not only cover the event, but also bring that coverage to all of you in real time both live and through social media.
