Green Lantern #9

DC Comics

Written by Jeremy Adams

Art by Xermanico

Letters by Dave Sharpe

The Rundown: Hal finds a way to leave the planet and discovers something deeply wrong.

Hal makes his way to a remote location and finds an old friend below the surface with a surprise for the Green Lanterns of Earth. Something that will not only give Hal some much needed answers about his exile on Earth, but also a means of escaping.

After making his way to the stars, he proceeds to head to the United Planets to tell them about the rogue Lanterns when he finds himself on the edge of his sector in a battle with other Lanterns who bring him back to Oa in chains.

The Story: Adams delivers a story with great action and a wonderful sense of rising tension. The story puts Hal into some interesting situations both with his own journey and that of the corps. There is some thrilling action in the story as well as a great reveal for both Hal and the rest of the Lanterns of Earth. There is also a great reveal at the end that makes me excited to see what happens in the next issue.

The Art: Xermanico delivers some fantastic art throughout the issue. The character designs are beautifully detailed and the art offers some great moments of action and thrills.

I have been out of the loop when it comes to Green Lantern, but I will check this out. I read some of Adam’s run on The Flash and liked what I read. Also, Xermanico’s art never disappoints.
