The Rundown: Darkwing watches over Goliath as Demona demands answers from Morgana.
After taking down a gang of criminals, Goliath is frozen when the sun comes back up. Elisa tasks Darkwing with watching over Goliath while she continues her investigation. At the same time, Demona continues to torture Morgana for information.
Elisa discovers a location connected to Demona’s human persona and the three move in and find Morgana. The three burst in and Demona confronts them with a distraction in order to escape before the rest of the clan arrives. Unfortunately, her escape will put Goslin in danger in the mirror universe.
The Story: Stones and Weisman continue to craft a fun, entertaining story in this issue. I love the interactions between the characters and how the comedy is smart and centered on Darkwing and his characters. I like the contrast between both groups and genres and how they brilliantly blend together. The story takes some great turns and ends on a fun and entertaining cliffhanger that makes me exited for the next issue.
The Art: Cangialosi creates some beautifully detailed and stylish art in the issue that is a great blend of both animated series art styles.
