The Rundown: The clan fights a dragon to save the alliance they’ve made with the humans.
As the leader of the clan and others intercept the dragon, they try to plead with the creature to halt its impending attack on the castle. At the same time, the young gargoyles try to escape from the dragon’s cave.
While the humans attempt to fight the dragon, the gargoyles find themselves having to choose between their cousin and the humans they’ve allied with. In the dragon’s den, unknown figures take advantage of the creature’s absence to remove some powerful items.
The Story: Weisman continues to masterfully craft a wonderful story about the world of the gargoyles and their history. He brilliantly plants the seeds of future stories and conflicts throughout this issue and I love the immersive nature of this series and story as it weaves brilliant lore that is compelling and thrilling.
The Art: Moss delivers beautifully detailed and visually striking art throughout the issue.
