A new Force Works is in operation and their mission to take down a potential AI terror cell does not go as planned when War Machine shows compassion to a Stark Tech bot with a death wish. In the aftermath, Maria Hill sends Rhodey on a new mission to extract a deep cover agent from a foreign country in the wake of a nuclear attack.

Saving members of his team from a rocket attack and delivering them to the island nation, War Machine discovers the deep cover agent hasn’t completed her mission and that means no one is leaving until they find out what happened. The investigation hits a new snag when the entire team is attacked by an army of Deathloks determined to recruit Force Works to their cause.

The Story: A tight, action packed story with plenty of personality. Matthew Rosenberg brings together an interesting group of heroes and does a great job of having them clash with each other as they reluctantly work together. The plot works really well and you are engaged with the characters and the potential team dynamics. It will be interesting to see how these character work in the context of sustaining their own series as well as bringing something new and different to the bigger arc.

The Art: Juanan Ramirez does some great work with the art in this issue. There is a lot of action and Ramirez does a great job of making the visuals vibrant and filled with energy as the characters fight hordes of enemies. A great looking issue.
