Glass is the sequel to both Unbreakable and Split from writer/director M. Night Shyamalan and ahead of the films presence at this year’s San Diego Comic Con, the director has released a first look at the film’s poster and details about the plot.
Glass will reunite Bruce Willis and Samuel L Jackson from Unbreakable as their characters David Dunn and Elijah Price aka Mr. Glass. Joining them in the film will be James McAvoy as Kevin Wendell Crumb aka The Horde. Co-stars from the two films will be returning for the sequel as well including Anya Taylor-Joy as Casey, the only one to survive her encounter with Crumb.
Also returning are Spencer Treat Clark who played David’s son Joseph Dunn in Unbreakable and Charlayne Woodard, reprising her role as Elijah’s mother. A new name has been added to the production and her role reveals an interesting detail about the plot of the film that is hinted at in the poster.
Sarah Paulson (American Horror Story, Oceans 8) is joining the cast of Glass as a psychiatrist who specializes in “individuals who think they are superheroes” and she is treating the trio at a mental hospital. So it looks like David and company will find themselves in a mental hospital. It’s an interesting plot development that either means that the trio will be having their final confrontation in that space or maybe it’s a Shyamalan twist that has all three characters sharing a joint delusion.
We’ll have to wait and see when Glass is released by Universal Pictures January 18, 2019.

June 30, 2018 - 3:41 amDarn, this is a TEASER poster after all. Also, these blu ray covers don’t seem to do these movies any justice. I don’t see where Unbreakable’s cracks line up with Split’s here.
