The Rundown: The Gargoyles of Manhattan team with the Fantastic Four to fight a villain seeking immortality.

In the past, a rogue alchemist took a young gargoyle to use in his experiments to create an elixir to give him eternal life. His plan is thwarted by Demona, but he ultimately gets away. Centuries later, Angela, Broadway and Lexington find themselves on the roof of the Baxter Building after following a flare where they meet the Fantastic Four who need their help taking down Grey Gargoyle who is turning people to stone.
Tony Stark receives a visit from David Xanatos at his facility and finds himself in a pitched battle against the Steel Clan who has taken something to Diablo to use in his experiments. When Angela is captured, Goliath and the rest of the clan team with the Fantastic Four to find her as Diablo unleashes a bigger threat on the city to distract them.
The Story: Weisman crafts a story that is pure fun and adventure for fans of Gargoyles. While I thought it was an interesting choice to have the Gargoyles go on a mission with the Fantastic Four, I absolutely loved having Xanatos square off against Tony Stark. There was great action throughout the issue and I really enjoyed seeing these characters interact in a story that I would personally love to see continue in some form.
The Art: Balam captures the visual style of the animated series and enhances it beautifully with great character designs and visually thrilling action.
