The Rundown: The Captain relives his own personal horrors as real ones emerge around him.

Most of the crew is dead and the others are now grotesque versions of humanity while the Captain is locked on the bridge reliving his own personal horrors. Horrors that take him to his violent past and the expectations of his domineering father.
At the same time, his tormentor takes him deeper into his secrets and regrets as it works on the Captain’s mind. As things get more horrific, the entity enacts the next part of its plan. A message that will be left for anyone who discovers the fate of the ship.
The Story: Ward crafts a dark, engaging and intense story in this issue. The story has a wonderful dark tone and personal story for one of the characters. I love every horror element in this story and how it brilliantly transitions to the story that is to come.
The Art: Jones crafts some beautifully detailed and visually disturbing art throughout the issue. I love the visual style of this issue and the visceral horror of the imagery.
