The Rundown: Batman and his team try to prevent a tragedy, but they might be in over their heads.

The citizens of Gotham have gathered for the opening of the Orgham’s building, but what they don’t know is that the citizens are in danger not only from the Orghams, but from their fellow citizens. Batgirl discovers that the citizens being kept beneath the city have been released as Batman finds himself facing Arzen at the heart of the reality machine.

On the surface, Nightwing faces off against the Azmer for the first time while Oracle coordinates from the Watchtower. At the same time, Gordon tries to convince Montoya to help them, but runs into resistance while Batman makes an explosive decision.

The Story: Ram V raises the stakes for Batman and his allies in this issue. The action is fantastic and I love the build up of tension throughout the issue. The story does a fantastic job of giving Batman a problem that even the reader is unsure he will be able to solve and the story does a great job of bringing in and utilizing the Bat Family. The issue ends with a fantastic, action filled cliffhanger that has me excited for the next issue.

The Art: Reis and Raffaele deliver fantastic, energetic and beautifully detailed art throughout the issue. The visuals perfectly capture the tone and intensity of the story.
