For anyone wondering what project former Deadpool director Tim Miller would be taking on after leaving the production of the sequel, wonder no more.

Tim Miller has officially come on board as director of the sixth film in the Terminator franchise created by James Cameron. Skydance Media confirmed that Miller would be coming on to direct with Cameron staying on to produce the film. It has also been confirmed that Arnold Schwarzenegger will be coming back for the sixth film as well.

According to the production company, the first draft of the script should be completed this month with filming to begin in 2018. With Terminator Genisys not being the breakout hit that the studio and production company planned on, it will interesting to see what direction Miller will take the property going forward. If he approaches it with the same sensibility he used for the first Deadpool film, we could be in for a unique and entertaining reboot to the Terminator franchise.
