A great follow up to the series that captures everything unique about the character and her circumstances.
The Spice of Life
Thunder returns to Metropolis to find a way to deal with her powers. After getting stuck in traffic, her sister Lightning arrives to help out, but the two find themselves facing off against the Condiment King when he decides to invade a local festival to take over the city.
A fun, funny and entertaining story that has some interesting stakes. The art style perfectly matches the tone of the story.
Pit Stop
Bloodwynd makes his way to the eighth circle of Hell and discovers that this Hell has a direct connection to him, his past and the gem that gives him his power. A connection that will have Raphael recount the history of the gem, his family and the legacy of the power of Bloodwynd.
An engaging and thrilling adventure that does a fantastic job of introducing the character to new readers while making the short compelling to fans of the character and his world.
Pure Blackness
Val Zod finds himself often burdened by being the Superman of Earth 2 and pushes himself to the limits to escape the planet and its demands. As he thinks on his life and his current existence, he continues to push himself while also making the regular decision to be the hero his world needs.
A beautifully written and drawn story that showcases how unique Val is as a character.
Lost at Sea
A pirate captain hires Black Manta to help him retrieve some cargo from a downed ship. Manta discovers some growing family drama on the job with the captain’s son and another member of the crew and the job will lead to some dark revelations and a betrayal.
An entertaining story with some great art throughout.
The Session
Crispus Allen aka The Spectre is on the hunt for a dangerous criminal to send to hell. When he is contacted by Montoya aka The Question, she challenges his new notion of justice as she tries to get him back to being an investigator. His latest case will require those skills as he hunts for an unexpected criminal and the monster that was unleashed to do its bidding.
Thrilling, dark and engaging with a great story for its characters along with a dark and fun art style.
