The Rundown: The remaining heroes of Earth must stop Apocalypse before he completes his ultimate evolution.

Miles Morales tells Peter and the others what happened to him after the world went dark. He also reveals what Apocalypse has planned for the kidnapped scientists and what it will mean for both the power coming back and the world itself. At the same time, Stark and the others discuss their plan as well as who will not survive its implementation. In order to make it work, they will need something unique to help it, but the owner of what they need will not give it up willingly. After getting what they need, one of them discovers the dark truth behind Apocalypse’s plan and pays the ultimate price for it.

As the heroes move into position around Apocalypse’s base, the scope of his plan means that they are running out of time to not only save what they’ve built, but the world itself. Unfortunately, they will have to have a gauntlet of familiar faces if they have any chance of stopping him.

The Story: Taylor delivers an impressive, fun and exciting finale to this storyline. There are some great surprises throughout it and moments I was not expecting to see. The humor is fantastic and stakes are both thrilling and tense. I was not expecting the story to go where it does and the ending caught me completely off guard in the best way.

The Art: Coello delivers some fantastic art on every page. There are beautifully detailed action as well as character moments that are both surprising and entertaining.
