The Rundown: Jerri Bartman’s life as Count Crowley is going to become dangerous with the arrival of a new threat.

After stopping a dangerous supernatural threat, Jerri’s life begins to take some positive steps forward. Unfortunately, the return of a werewolf that nearly killed her and a shadowy group of men who want to know who she is will make things more complicated quickly. After visiting her predecessor to get information about the werewolf, she learns more about what is possibly hunting for her as one of the creatures makes his destructive debut in the area.

After checking in with her brother, Jerri decides to continue her investigation of the werewolf by picking up a few supplies. After tracking down her suspect, she finds something unexpected in the repentant man and learns how he became what he is. When the man’s drug addict girlfriend arrives, Jerri finds herself fighting for her life right before the addict becomes the creature that could end it.

The Story: Dastmalchian keeps the edge in both the character and the story with this issue. There is a great mix of humor and horror throughout and the tension and pacing of the plot kept me engaged at every turn. I continue to be impressed at the world of these characters and this return has all the makings of a fun, frenetic and hilariously wild ride for the reader. I can’t wait to see where this story goes next.

The Art: Ketner delivers some beautiful imagery in this issue. The style is perfect for this story and the characters pop off the page. The action is visually thrilling throughout and there are some great moments to be found in the story.
