The Rundown: Leila and her uncle learn more about his missing wife while she learns more about her wayward uncle.

Leila and Chachu have made their way to a night club in Vegas at the same time his wife finds herself dealing with her unhinged co-star who is holding her captive before the premiere of their movie. As Chachu makes his way to the bar, Leila sees how intense he is and learns more about him from the bartender who remembers the first time Chachu and his movie star wife made a splash in the town.
Cleo continues to deal with her co-star Newman who is itching to take things to the next level career wise with the help of her father while Chachu meets with an old friend of the couple who might have answers about where his wife is being held as things get more tense for everyone involved and Leila continues to learn more about her complicated uncle and his even more complicated life.
The Story: Vellani continues to craft a tense, engaging and entertaining story in this issue. I continue to be impressed with the world being created in the story as well as the narrative balance between the unfolding mystery in the present and the story of Chachu’s past. I really loved the moment he took to reflect and how that reflection informs him as a character. Leila continues to be an interesting character as well and seeing the story through her eyes adds great intensity and fun to every moment.
The Art: Ignazzi creates some beautifully vibrant and intense visual moments throughout the issue and I love the visual style and how it captures the tone and mood of the story.
