Colors by Francesco Segala
Letters by Ed Dukeshire
The Rundown: Bobbie Draper’s investigation leads to a surprising discovery. Meanwhile, Chrisjen Avasarala must navigate family issues as she attempts to protect humanity.
After Bobbie encounters a disturbing scene, she finds herself in immediate danger. While deciding how to proceed, she sends out a message. On Luna, Avasarala attempts to make amends with a family member. When she receives Bobbie’s transmission, she makes a decision that changes the course of her future. Bobbie and Avasarala must then work together to stop an abhorrent plot.
The Story: The final chapter in this four issue run really delivers. Corinna Bechko once again finds a way to create drama and excitement with the bare minimum of action. The story ends with a sense of loss as both main characters choose service over relationship. But, ultimately, their decisions have an overwhelming impact on the societies that both hold dear to their hearts.
The Art: The color work of Francesco Segala plays brilliantly with Alejandro Aragon’s drawings. The result is a visually appealing and emotional conduit for the overall story.
