The Rundown: Carol continues to search for Binary as Gambit and his team attempt to rescue Rogue from the Brood.

With her own memories of being captured by the Brood fresh in her mind, Carol and her team continue to search for Binary. Her thoughts are so loud that Psylocke takes her to the side to help her focus as another Brood attack looms. As the team contemplates that they might be walking into a trap, they fight their way to Binary, but it might already be too late.

At the same time, Gambit and his team are fighting their way to Rogue and when they finally reach her, they discover that they are surrounded and the only way out is a violent and destructive one.

The Story: A great action packed adventure that delivers on tension, terror and character. There is a great build up throughout the issue from both teams and I love seeing Carol dealing with her internal fears in regards to what is happening to Binary. I liked seeing Psylocke connect with Carol as well and Gambit’s team has some great stakes when they reach their target. I can’t wait to see where this story goes next.

The Art: Pina delivers some beautifully detailed art throughout the story. The characters look amazing and the action is visually thrilling on every page.
