The Rundown: Young Steve risks his life to stop a dangerous plot while Captain America fights a demon.

In Steve’s past, he and his unusual allies attempt to remove a bomb from the area of an American Nazi rally. A plan that will put Steve in danger and place a target on his back by Asmoday as the young man foils his plans.

In the present, Captain America fights Asmoday to protect the attendees of a peace conference while his allies fight to help them escape. A fight that will require some interesting help from the world of magic if Steve has any chance of staying alive.

The Story: Straczynski brings this arc to a dramatic and exciting conclusion with a story that highlights how interesting and special Steve Rogers is as a character beyond just being Captain America. I love seeing the character’s resolve and determination both with and without powers and how the story not only has great action, but showcases the strength of character Steve Rogers has.

The Art: Medina offers some great art in the issue. I really loved the visual style and how it handled both the action and characters in a way that made everything visually compelling.
