The Rundown: A group of kids find themselves the wielder of powerful weapons created to save the world.

Fel and her friends gather for a soccer game and in the aftermath, they decide to head to the woods to go on a quest. After making their way into the woods, they are just in time to witness something in the sky flying straight for them. After getting out of the way, the stone crashes into the ground and Fel decides to try and remove the sword sticking out of it.
After retrieving the sword, the stone erupts and more weapons are released that her friends begin to pick up and hear speaking to them with the voices of Arthur and his knights of the round table. As they hear sirens in the distance, the weapons tell them that they must flee because they are now in possession of the means to save the world.
The Story: Taylor crafts a fun, light hearted fantasy in this first issue. The story has some great character moments and conflicts being teased within it and I really enjoyed it. The story is building an interesting world within this first issue and has an engaging cliffhanger that makes me interested in seeing what happens next.
The Art: Di Nicuolo delivers beautifully detailed and visually fun art throughout the issue. I love the anime style of the issue and the oversized weapons a lot.
