Brian Michael Bendis is one of the most prolific comic book writers working and his departure from Marvel Comics to DC Comics after 17 years was news on its own.
Deadline is reporting that Bendis is not completely done with the world of Marvel Comics and that he and Deadpool director Tim Miller have been brought in to work on a new project for the Fox X-Men universe. Bendis will write the script for the mystery project with Miller on board to direct. While there is little information about the project itself, the working title is 143.
The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that the title is in relation to long-standing X-Men character Kitty Pryde and that the movie will be about her. The number 143 is in reference to one of Pryde’s earliest adventures and a solo adventure as she deals with a demon running loose through the X-Mansion alone. No word yet on the plot or if actress Ellen Page, who played Pryde in X-Men: The Last Stand and X-Men: Days of Future Past, will be returning to the role or if the studio is on the hunt for a new actress to play the character.
