The Rundown: Homer’s journey continues to take some dark turns.

After the revelation about his brother and his narrow escape from him and the others, Homer and his friends try to tend to their badly injured friend as they float down the river. When Homer is separated from the group he finds himself in the presences of other kids who take him to what might be salvation.

Unfortunately, Homer and his friends eventually find that their new sanctuary is just as dangerous as the rest of the world and their escape will bring them to the beginning of a new mystery.

The Story: A hauntingly engaging and entertaining story from Snyder. The world of this story continues to be a compelling adventure for the reader and every twist and turn the story takes brought me deeper into it. I find myself invested in Homer’s story and the gripping description of a society in decline. Its a thoroughly enjoyable and engaging experience from start to finish.

The Art: Jock’s art beautifully punctuates moments in the story that are already beautifully described. The art enhances those moment brilliantly.
