BI 3 preview p 2

The residents of Freedom Unlimited have gathered at the Church of Jesus Christ: Businessman to pay their respects to the loss of the CEO of AggroCorp. Unfortunately, the mystery man who killed him and took his place on the island remains in custody and refuses to speak. After employing every torture they can think of on the man, he still refuses to speak. So they decide to bring in the Chairman to decide the man’s fate.

At the same time, the escapees make their way to the beach. With no way off the island, they find a cave to hide in. Unfortunately, they find it isn’t empty and the man inside has an interesting story to tell about how he made it to the island.

The Story: Mark Russell expands the story and raises it stakes in a way that is exciting and tension filled. There are some truly funny and surprising moments throughout and this stories unpredictability is its biggest asset. I was not expecting the twists that came and was pleasantly surprised when the happened. This is a refreshing series that I continue to enjoy exploring while also staying invested in its characters and the world Russell is building.

The Art: Steve Pugh delivers some great art throughout this issue. The panels are richly detailed and perfectly match the tone of the story.
