The Rundown: Batman continues his search for Joker and Straightman and discovers more about the man.
Batman finds himself barely escaping a violent exchange with the woman hunting for the former soldier who is now working for Joker. His encounter prompts him to call Barbara for some answers because he discovers that the suit she is using has a connection to Wayne Tech. A connection that could be valuable to him in the future.
After Joker confronts Strange again, Batman learns what prompted Joker to take on a new partner. At the same time, Harley Quinn is confronted by Waller and Task Force X with a mission to retrieve Straightman for their own plans and they’re using Ivy as bait.
The Story: Burnett and Dini do a brilliant job of continuing the story and moving it in new and interesting directions with enough reveals and surprises to keep me engaged as a reader. Not only is the story interesting and entertaining, but there are some great call backs to other stories that inform this one in great ways. I look forward to seeing where this story goes next.
The Art: Templeton delivers great characters and atmosphere through dynamic and beautifully detailed imagery.
