The Rundown: Batman and Superman race to save the planet and will need some unconventional help to do so.

Ras Al Ghul has unleashed his four horsemen on the world and is saving Poison Ivy for the final phase of his plan to wipe out most of the population. While Batman and Kid Flash bring in Mirror Master to create a cure for the disease created by Queen Bee, Superman takes on Tokamak who is destroying nuclear plants to spread radiation throughout the area.

After taking down another threat, Superman goes to confront Ras personally while Talia confronts Ivy. With the world on the brink of destruction, Batman calls in some unusual help to stop an invasion from the sea while Superman races to stop Ivy where she has begun her part of the plan, Kansas.

The Story: Waid continues to craft an exciting and entertaining story in this issue. There is a great intensity to the story and an immediacy that creates a page turning adventure. I continue to love the dynamic between Batman and Superman in this series and the biggest thing going for it is Waid keeping these character consistently capable. These are heroes who know how to be heroes despite everything happening around them and I continue to enjoy seeing them work together.

The Art: Gutierrez creates beautifully detailed and visually dynamic art throughout the issue. I love the look of this issue and how intense the action is.
