Batman and Superman continue their investigation into the death of former villain turned Metropolis police officer Atomic Skull. The investigation provides a link to a an incident from Superman’s past and the duo head to a warehouse owned by WayneTech when Bruce discovers what tech has been used to create the drones that killed Skull.

When the heroes arrive, they discover that the warehouse has been taken over and a fight between the heroes will find Batman missing and in the hands of Ultra-Humanite who has plans for the Dark Knight.

The Story: Joshua Williamson crafts a really interesting and well plotted story that raises some unique stakes for the heroes. All of the characters are handled well, especially Ultra-Humanite. His arc shows an engaging villain with some real depth and intellect. The story is fun and exciting. The action is great and the dialogue works for every character. A well done story that holds my interest in seeing how it progresses.

The Art: Clayton Henry’s art really works well in this issue. The style is great and there are some awesome visual moments throughout including the fight in the warehouse as well as the depth and detail in the batcave. A great looking issue.
