Comedian Aziz Ansari returned to stand up for a worldwide tour that culminates in a new Netflix special launching today.
The comedy special, based on the comic’s sold out Road to Nowhere tour, was directed by Academy Award winning filmmaker Spike Jonze (Her, Being John Malkovich, Adaptation). Ansari’s worldwide comedy tour, Road to Nowhere, sold out in 75 cities in the United States and 12 countries abroad including shows in Mumbai, Dehli, Sydney (Sydney Opera House), London (Royal Albert Hall), and Paris (L’Olympia).
Most recently, Ansari sold out 2 shows at New York City’s famed Radio City Music Hall (June 14 & 15) and 3 shows with Dave Chappelle at Austin’s The Paramount Theater in April. The Jonze directed special is a filmed set from the Brooklyn Academy of Music tour dates in Brooklyn, New York.
