The Rundown: Spidey takes on a reluctant Chance and Peter Parker is given a new opportunity.
Spider-Man faces down Chance to protect Jameson who is still trying to interview Spidey for his podcast. As the two fight, Spidey learns that Chance isn’t really fighting back that hard and that’s because The Foreigner has something planned back at the Palace. To help Chance get the upper hand with the wall-crawler, The Foreigner sends a group of Jack-O-Lanterns to tip the odds in his favor.
Later, Peter will get a tempting offer for a new job from Norah. Unfortunately for Peter, Norah’s offer comes courtesy of one of his greatest enemies.
The Story: Fun and fast paced, Nick Spencer delivers a story filled with thrills and humor. With everyone working their own angle and Spider-Man caught in the middle, the plot engages the reader brilliantly. The separate plot threads that are being created work well together to add to the drama of Peter’s existence and Spencer hooks the reader into wanting to know what will happen next.
The Art: Coello and Carlos deliver some amazing art in this issue. From the action to the character moments, everything looks bright, detailed and beautiful.
