Magneto and Storm are barely speaking to each other as another conflict draws the X-Men’s attention. A conflict that requires Storm to use her gifts to prevent a weather disaster while the rest of the team rescues civilians. It’s another successful mission and when the team returns, they find that another problem is slowly gaining traction in the mutant community.

The emergence of En Sabah Nur’s movement and the amount of people willing to listen is concerning to the group and Nate finds that there are increasing limits to  what he can control. When Ororo and Erik clash over the memories they are having, Nate takes them to a special place where he is hiding an enormous amount of power and where he can better increase his control over the two X-Men.

The conflict between Magneto and Storm is interesting. Bringing back the fact that Nate is dying is something that hasn’t been touched on much in this entire series and it is a plot point that could tie together all the conflicts happening across these books. Zac Thompson and Lonnie Nadler tell an effective story in this issue with both Magneto and Storm dealing with memories of events they can’t recall but bring into question everything they currently believe. I would like to see more of the bigger conflicts explored in the future, but the interpersonal issues continue to be intriguing.

Marco Failla’s art is beautifully detailed and all the characters look great. Hopefully, there will be some conflict in future issues that will give Failla the ability to do more visually.
