The Rundown: Abbott receives a divine visit to prepare her to battle an agent of darkness.

Abbott is visited by Samir who tells her of the war being waged between the followers of the light and the Umbra. A war that has claimed someone close to both of them in order to give her the power she needs to survive the plans of the Umbra’s avatar on Earth.

As Elena attempts to get her professional life in order, she is called by Samir to face the Avatar for the fate of the world. A battle that will be fought with another sacrifice and the reveal of a familiar face acting as an agent of darkness.

The Story: Ahmed continues to craft an exciting and engrossing story in this issue that is filled with great action and world building that draws you in. I continue to be engaged with every element of this story and its characters. There are some awesome themes throughout this issue and I love the wonderful way the climax comes full circle for Elena and what it means for the next issue.

The Art: Kivela delivers fantastic art throughout the issue including some fantastic action sequences filled with beautiful details.
