The Rundown: Abbott’s life takes a dark turn as a new opportunity arises.

The world continues to change and more forward, but Abbott’s world continues to get darker. Her career is stagnant, she is alone and the only thing keeping her alive is her powers and their fight against the darkness.

When a new opportunity presents itself, Abbott tries to change her life for the better. Unfortunately, another attack in the middle of the night will show just how vulnerable Abbott has become.

The Story: Ahmed crafts a brilliant, dark return for the character in this new series. The story takes some fantastic twists and turns throughout and the plot delivers some great thrills for the character and the reader. I love the dark direction Abbott’s life has taken and look forward to seeing how she navigates it.

The Art: Kivela delivers some powerful art throughout the issue. The visuals are stunning and the character designs are incredibly engaging.
