The Rundown: Diana’s mission to rescue a friend has awakened the fury of the gods.

Ares, the god of war has been brought before his father Zeus to discuss Diana as Wonder Woman prepares to leave Hades to find a way to rescue Minerva. After returning to the facility they were both held in, she discovers it empty and decides to take out her growing rage as she tears through it on her way out.
Etta has a meeting in Gotham with an old friend when she hears that Wonder Woman has returned. Diana decides that to find Barbara, she must go to the source. After smashing into Cale’s office and fighting through her security, Diana discovers the thing that she is hiding from the world. Unfortunately, her actions have attracted something bigger in the form of the eye of Zeus hanging over the city.
The Story: Thompson crafts a dark, thrilling and entertaining story in this issue. I love the immediacy of the story as well as the intense emotion throughout. There is a deliberateness to Diana that I enjoyed immensely and I love seeing the story unfold and one of Cale’s mysteries being revealed. I cannot wait to see where this story goes next.
The Art: Sherman creates beautifully detailed and visually exciting art throughout the issue. I love the character designs and action throughout the story.
