The Rundown: Oaklynn’s father is forced to teach Ryder the truth about the world they live in.

Fionn and Ryder have taken to the road in search of Oaklynn and the man attempts to talk to the young man about the reality of a world filled with infected and monsters. A lesson he learns the hard way when the two are confronted by a sick woman and another. When another arrives holding a gun, Fionn shows Ryder just how harsh the world is.
As they continue traveling, Ryder thinks back on the beginnings of the epidemic and how he failed to help Oaklynn before. Determined to help her this time, he and her father discover where she is being held and attempt to free her. Unfortunately, Ryder’s failure to act will put the pair in danger and force them to retreat.
The Story: Kaplan crafts a thrilling, entertaining story in this issue. I continue to love the world of this story and how the reader is learning about along with Ryder. Amidst all the thrilling action and adventure, there is the undercurrent of a sweet and interesting love story between Ryder and Oaklynn and I continue to enjoy the character journeys.
The Art: Raffaele delivers stunning art throughout the issue. I love the visual style of the story and the character designs a lot.
