The Rundown: The League races to stop the Brainiac Queen while another threat looms in the stars.

Batman has called a priority alert for every member of the League to search for and find the Brainiac Queen who is hunting for the location of Amanda Waller. As the rest of the league goes hunting, Batman and Red Tornado get some mostly unwanted help from Lex Luthor who is the reason the Queen escaped in the first place. As the League continues their hunt, Atom and Tornado come up with a plan to lure the Brainiac Queen from the internet and give the heroes a fighting chance at stopping her.

At the same time, Mister Terrific and the team he was leading find themselves fighting off the creatures on the alien planet who have taken the powers of the League. As they prepare to escape, the group finds themselves in the presence of a familiar and dangerous face, Despero.

The Story: Waid crafts a thrilling, engaging and entertaining story in this issue. I continue to love the scope of this series and how unafraid Waid is in taking chances with the characters and doing bold things with the world of the story. There is a great sense of immediacy throughout the issue and each story point builds to something bigger and more interesting as one arc comes to an end and another begins. I cannot wait to see where this story goes next.

The Art: Mora and Ossio craft some beautifully detailed and visually exciting art throughout the issue. I really liked the visuals in this issue a lot.
