The Rundown: Batman pays a visit to Arkham Tower to see its most dangerous patient.

An orderly at Arkham Tower makes a call to Bullock and both he and Gordon make a call to Batman. When the detective arrives, he discovers who is looking for him and he makes his way to the Tower to meet Zeller.

She escorts him to her highly secure wing of the facility where she has the Joker suspended in liquid and unable to escape. He can only communicate through a computer terminal and he decides to talk to Batman who is unconvinced the criminal has changed. As they continue to interact, Joker has a message for Batman that Zeller cannot hear. Something or someone is coming to kill him and the message isn’t for Batman, it’s for Bruce Wayne.

The Story: Fraction crafts a thoughtful and engaging psychological thriller in this issue. There is tension throughout the story and I really enjoyed the rising tension in the conversation as well as the suspense of wondering what will happen next. I really like the progression of the story as well as the cliffhanger ending and what it means for both Batman and the Joker. I cannot wait to see what happens next.

The Art: Jiminez creates some beautifully detailed and visually stylish art throughout the issue. I really love the character designs in this issue and the Joker looks both scary and menacing throughout the issue.
