The Rundown: Valentina makes a decision as the world continues to fall apart.
As Eliza continues to spiral, she begins to unleash something destructive on the world. Something that forces Valentina to act and bring her down. Her actions cause Eliza to be sealed away from the planet and Jackie tries to reassure the public that the crisis has passed even though millions of lives have been lost.
The destruction and grief cause Masumi to lose control and a giant creature emerges from the sea causing more death and destruction. As Valentina finds herself helpless to stop more death and violence, something happens that will cause her to return to a different time and make a different choice.
The Story: Gillen creates a thrilling, entertaining and inventive story in this issue. I love the story in this issue and there are so many great and interesting things throughout the issue and I love the focus on Valentina. The story continues to grow and evolve in different ways as it races towards an unexpected conclusion that makes me excited to see what happens next.
The Art: Wijngaard creates brilliantly dense and visually stunning art throughout the issue.
