The Rundown: Roland Rocketfeller discovers the truth and his decision will change his entire family’s lives.
Roland has discovered the truth and decides to confront his sister Raina and her husband Jacob about what he has been working on for years. As they argue about the ethics of the experiment, Jacob reveals that he not only plans on keeping Roland working on the project indefinitely, but that he has been watching the entire family.
When an attack from a rival company leaves both Jacob and Raina critically injured, Roland uses the new tech to keep them alive, but Jacob refuses to allow him to leave. Fearing for himself and his family, Roland makes a daring escape and intercepts his wife so that they can escape together before Jacob and Raina come after them.
The Story: Tomasi crafts a thrilling, fun and entertaining story in this issue. I continue to enjoy this journey into the past and how it showcases the events and stakes that the family are dealing with in this series. There are some great moments of drama between Roland and his sister and the attack was a brilliant surprise that elevates the stakes of the story for the characters. I love being immersed in this world with these amazing characters and I cannot wait to see what happens next.
The Art: Manapul and Oum create some beautifully detailed and visually thrilling art throughout the issue. The action is amazing.
