According to multiple reports in Deadline and others, X-Men: Dark Phoenix, whose original release date was November 2, 2018, has been moved to early next year. It’s new release date will be February 14, 2019. No explanation has been given for the change in release date, leaving many to speculate about both the quality of the film or the additional time needed for special effects. Taking the film’s former release date will be Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody which has had its own set of production issues.

The New Mutants, the horror themed X-Men movie has already been delayed from its April 13, 2018 release date for February 22, 2019, will now be released August 2, 2019. The original explanation for the first delay was to add additional horror elements to the film along with another character (with many speculating that the new character would be  alien New Mutant Warlock). It’s unclear what this new schedule change might be about, but there is growing speculation that the Disney/Fox deal would be completed by the time of the film’s release and that deal might be one of the reasons.

I want to know what you think. Let me know what you think about these two films being delayed in the comments below.
