The Rundown: The Ghostbusters find themselves in the middle of an intergalactic conflict as an old enemy of the Autobots appeals for help in the aftermath of a devastating attack.

In the aftermath of Gozer’s attack on Cybertron, Megatron and the rest of the Decepticons are given a deadly choice if they are going to survive the demon’s attack. One that will change them in ways that they can’t imagine.

When Ecrtonymous reveals himself to the Ghostbusters, he finds that they aren’t as shocked as he expected. Their reactions are relatively mild until the new Ecto-1 reveals that he needs to open the trap they contained the ghost of Starscream inside in order to contact Optimus Prime. With Scarscream freed after not listening to the team’s objections, the Decepticon appeals to them to help him defeat the creature responsible.

But can Starscream be trusted?

The Story: The clash between Ectronymous and the Ghostbusters felt a little heavy handed, but the moment worked to move the story forward. The fact that the Ghostbusters are entering into an uneasy truce with the Autobot helps add tension to the story and adds more complexity to the narrative. Erik Burnham does a great job of making the dialogue interesting and fun as well as introducing a new, unknown element into the story that keeps the reader engaged. The fact that Gozer isn’t the only threat makes the story more interesting going forward.

The Art: Dan Schoening’s art is fantastic. All of the details in both the characters and the Transformers are awesome. There are some great moments in this issue and the visuals are spectacular.
