The Rundown: A pair of scientists might be the only hope left for humanity.

Recently married scientists Roger and Tina discover a meteor is about to hit land near them and they head out to study the impact. What no one suspects is that the meteor is holding an alien plant that immediately begins taking over the ecosystem and killing all organic life in its way.

The couple are brought in by the military and the billionaire contractor they have running the counter-offensive to consult and through trial and error they discover not only what the plant is but what it wants. Unfortunately, what it wants will be left in the hands of someone who has their own agenda for the planet.

The Story: Russell crafts a dark, entertaining story in this issue. There is great suspense throughout the story and I love how relevant many of the characters and their motivations are to the world we live in now. There are still moments of humor in the story that I really enjoyed and the tone and plot of the story perfectly capture the essence and spirit of the Twilight Zone.

The Art:  Alpi creates some impressive visuals throughout the issue. I really like the art style and how it captures the tone and mood of the story and its characters.
