The Rundown: Levi takes on the Suicide Squad to save the forest and discovers that there is a bigger threat to Swamp Thing.

Peacemaker and Asa stand on the precipice and watch the battle raging between Swamp Thing and Chemo. In the aftermath, Peacemaker goes on the hunt and as Swamp Thing hunts for the damage to the green, he is attacked by Parasite who has been transformed because of it. As the two battle, they begin to grow a strange connection.

Swamp Thing can see into the life of Parasite and his past and the villain gets the opposite experience. Using his experience with his father, Levi uses the power of Swamp Thing and the green to attempt to teach Parasite a lesson about the power he is trying to take. In the aftermath, Levi will discover that there is another powerful creature after him. One that has its own purpose for the green and a connection to Levi himself.

The Story: Ram V crafts a layered and compelling story with twists and character development that is amazing. The plot is brilliantly told. The characters are interesting and multifaceted. The stakes are interesting and the connection between Levi and his new foe makes for some intense and personal drama for the character going forward. I cannot wait to see where this story goes next.

The Art: Mike Perkins art is sublime. There are so many great visual moments and the scenes seamlessly flow from page to page.
