The Rundown: Miles and Peter must calm down a rampaging Lizard who is determined to find Billy Connors.

After discovering that Billy, the son of Curt Connors, has been kidnapped by the Electros, Miles and Peter find themselves facing Connors’ alter-ego the Lizard when Billy disappears from where he was being held. As Miles tries to stop Lizard, Peter works to wake up Curt Connors and they make a deal with the Lizard to track down the missing boy. A mission that will lead the Spider-Men to a new underground community with the help of Shift.
At the same time, Anna receives a visitor in her hospital room after being injured trying to help Juliet in the supervillain battle. Her girlfriend has some hard words for her as the rest of their newfound friends arrive to see her. When Peter and Miles return to the coffee shop to check on Juliet, they are greeted with more concerned friends who worry that Juliet’s emotions might cause something bad to happen to her.
The Story: One of the things that I continue to enjoy about this series is the emphasis on community that Weisman is building with both Peter and Miles. As compelling and thrilling as the action and adventure stories with the Spider-Men are, the story of this growing community of friends at the coffee shop is equally as compelling. I like that they are concerned for each other on both sides and how they rally for each other. It’s a testament to how good a story is when you want to see more of the world of the characters including the people who inhabit it behind the heroes.
The Art: Genolet delivers some beautiful art in the issue. The visuals brilliantly enhance the character moments and emotions.
