The Rundown: As preparations for the movie go forward, an unlikely team escapes to the Dreaming.

The rogue angel behind the making of a movie based on Madison’s life continues the project with a new writer. A project that will have far reaching implications. At the same time, Max, Thessaly and the cat that used to be Madison are trapped in an office with certain death the cost if they leave.

In order to get Max on board with the strange events happening around him, Thessaly takes charge as he gets an object lesson in what will happen to them all. After finding a way to escape to the Dreaming, the group finds some measure of peace while Corinthian is tempted to return to his old ways.

The Story: The story continues to get more interesting as James Tynion IV continues to expand the world of the Sandman and introduce new elements that make the mystery more compelling. I love the direction the story is taking and continue to be impressed with the world that Tynion is building for the characters, especially Corinthian and Thessaly. I love the appearance of Daniel at the end of the issue and look forward to seeing him take a more active role in events.

The Art: Estherren delivers fantastic art throughout the issue. I love the depiction of the Dreaming and how brilliantly, visually inviting it is.
