The Rundown: Pigeon and his family are faced with hard truths as his sister’s rebellion makes it way to their door.

Beatrice and her rebellion have made their presence felt on the planet and those who haven’t died by her blade have joined her crusade and taken to the skies heading to Soluna’s castle. Her brother Pigeon continues to lament the loss of the one piece of technology that could have saved the world as his advisor gives him the darkest of choices in the wake of Soluna’s illness. A choice he refuses to make as he decides to be with his family.

Pigeon sits with his wife and sons as he prepares to do something that will take him from them. When Soluna awakens, she cautions him to be merciful and take their children away as Beatrice’s forces attack the castle. With few options and mounting rage, Pigeon decides to face his sister and their people alone.

The Story: Remender continues to bring the reader into an engaging and compelling world with interesting characters making huge and consequential decisions and I love it. The complexity of this story continues to draw me in as well as the characters. There are so many great moments for the characters throughout this issue and each one of them has a point of view that is compelling. There are no villains in this story, just the consequences of tragic decisions for everyone involved and I cannot wait to see what happens next in this story.

The Art: Araujo delivers beautifully detailed art throughout the issue. I love the character designs and environment of the story immensely.
