The Rundown: A retiring detective decides to take on one last case.

Detective Ari Nassar is preparing to retire from the force and even decides to attend his retirement party. When his Lieutenant receives a case file, Ari takes one look at it and decides that he isn’t ready to retire just yet. Especially when the latest victim is connected to the case that made his career.

After going to the crime scene and seeing the familiar markings of the killer on the wall, he finds himself getting a clue from an unexpected location. A location that could narrow down the identity of this new killer.

The Story: Ram V creates an intense and immersive story in this first issue that teases some interesting and engaging storytelling. The mystery is instantly compelling and I love the surprises found in both the story and the setting. There is a wonderful film noir vibe to the story that creates a great atmosphere for the reader.

The Art: Campbell delivers fantastic art in the issue that brilliantly captures the film noir elements of the story.
