The Rundown: Tony prepares for war with Orchis while Riri deals with the rings of the Mandarin.

Tony Stark is preparing for war and continues to deal with the doubts in his own mind. Doubts that Emma offers to remove, but Stark’s refusal will lead to a real moment between the two of them. At the same time, Riri and Forge deal with an ominous warning regarding the rings of the Mandarin that Riri continues to use.

After landing on Nidavellir to forge Tony’s new ships for the battle, Forge and Riri find themselves dealing with some murderous dwarves and Riri’s dependence on the rings will force her to make a dangerous choice. On Earth, Orchis prepares to take on Stark and the mutants, but there might be some issues brewing internally.

The Story: Duggan continues to create a complicated and compelling story for Tony in this series and this issue has not only some great moments for the character, but also a great expansion and evolution of Riri as well. There is some great tension and suspense throughout the issue and I look forward to seeing what happens with Tony, Emma and especially Rhodey.

The Art: Di Vito delivers some beautifully detailed and visually compelling art throughout the issue. I really connected with the character designs and the emotive faces. A wonderful looking issue that teases some great action and visual thrills to come.
