The Rundown: An analyst for a field agent finds himself embroiled in a dangerous situation.
Abdhi is a real time analyst for a field agent named Merlin. An agent he has developed complicated feelings for, but is forbidden to even meet. As they complete a series of dangerous missions, their rapport has them sitting on the board with the most completed missions of any team working for the Organization.
Abdhi, also known as Gatsby, finds his personal life to be more complicated than his work one and when he arrives at work one day he discovers that Merlin was sent on a mission without him and was killed. As he begins to deal with the loss of someone he never actually met, he returns home to discover that he’s not alone.
The Story: Rose May and Ambudkar craft an inventive, fun and entertaining story with some interesting characters and mystery throughout. I really loved the rapport between the characters and how their relationship evolved over the course of the story. I like seeing small things planted throughout the plot that I hope will be revealed as the story progresses and I look forward to seeing what happens next after the satisfying and engaging cliffhanger.
The Art: Sanna delivers some stunning art throughout the issue. I love the visual style of this issue and how it captures both the action beats of the story and the character interactions.
