There’s a reason this is listed under comic book news, so manage your expectations.

According to Marvel Comics Editor in Chief C.B. Cebulski in a special announcement, The Fantastic Four will be returning to the pages of Marvel Comics.

The Fantastic Four has been touted as the first family of the Marvel Universe and their absence has been missing since the Secret Wars storyline in the comics (they also seemed to disappear right before the launch of the last Fantastic Four movie from Fox). While Human Torch and The Thing have been seen in the pages of Marvel Two in One, the entire team has been fractured with no idea when or if they would come back together again.

The new Fantastic Four series will be helmed by the creative team of Dan Slott (Amazing Spider-Man) and Sara Pichelli (Ultimate Spider-Man) on art. Marvel Two in One is seto to continue with a new pair when Fantastic Four launches and there are some that speculate that the launch of a new FF comic is the best indicator that the Fox sale to Disney will bring the characters back to prominence on the big screen as well.
